How do we know when teenagers are old enough to participate in these kinds of decisions?
Often essays that tackle these ideas are serious, passionate, strident, unyielding and inflexible, and grounded in faulty logic. What these essays, forwarding positions such as \u201cif I can die for my country, I ought to be able to legally buy beer!” miss is that the audience has likely survived that period of angsty adolescence and is none the worse for it.
