Assignment Overview
 

This week you will review the nursing philosophy you developed in NUR 300 to determine how it has guided you in the BSN program, what changes have occurred based on your experiences, and how your philosophy addresses the role of the nurse as a leader.

Instructions

• Journal your thoughts on the following questions:
  • How did you use your philosophy as you progressed through the program?
  • What role did your nursing theory play in your progression?
  • Describe how your current perceptions, attitudes, and beliefs have reinforced or changed your philosophy.
  • How has your philosophy contributed to your perspectives on nursing leadership?
• Support your responses with evidence from your experiences in the program.
• Post the reflection to your eportfolio as your philosophy addendum.

Format & Grading
 

• APA formatted title page, page numbers, and body of paper
• Adhere to basic APA writing mechanics – spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, etc.
• May write in first person tense
• References are not required, but if used they should follow APA format
• Typical length is 4-6 pages
• There is no rubric for this assignment
• Assignment is worth 5 points
