This assignment addresses the following course objective:

4.  Present one nursing theorist and their theory. (Student Learning Outcome #1)

In this assignment, you will use your textbook, the online library, and high-quality online resources (below) to present one nursing theory and the theorist who created the theory in a 10-12 slide PowerPoint presentation (with speaker’s notes).  Review the grading rubric closely before beginning your assignment.

  2. Select one of the following Nurse Theorists to base your PPT presentation on.

4.  Go to the Online Library, using CINAHL, and find a nursing research study that used your theory. Print and read the article. Look to the rubric for the information from the article that you need to include in the PPT presentation.

5.  Submit the PowerPoint assignment in .ppt or .pptx format following the instructions at the bottom of the page.

6.  Save a copy of the graded assignment for your senior portfolio.

7.  Write in your own words.  No direct quotes permitted on the PPT slideor in the Speaker’s Notes.  If you do not know what “speakers notes” are – ask your instructor
