From your Week 2, DQ 1 Discussion on Three Research Reports, you will write a short review of the literature. Do not resubmit what you did verbatim in the discussion. This assignment is asking for you to improve, refine, and edit your initial response in the Discussion.
The summaries here should be improved on, refined, and edited from the prior discussion question. The references should be in perfect APA format. There should be no direct quotes in the paper.
For this assignment you will:
1. Write an introductory paragraph to the problem from practice that you wanted to learn more about. Remember to write your purpose statement about the purpose of the paper and its contents.
- Convince the reader why this topic is important to patient safety and nursing practice. Use current statistics to support the topic.
2. Write one paragraph for each of the three reports to include:
- Research design and sampling method
- Sample size and characteristics
- Research question(s)
- Statistical answers to the research question(s) [Must use statistics here]
- Limitations of the study
- Application to nursing practice, research, and education.
3. The summary paragraph that describes what is known about the problem in the published literature you read, and why additional research is needed on this problem.
- This summary should be clear and specific to the findings reported in the paper. It may be more than 1 paragraph.
Please use subheadings to separate the sections of your paper based on Introduction, Study One, Study Two, Study Three, and Summary – and keep your writing organized. APA is required. No direct quotes should be used in this assignment. The reference page is required.
