Ethical role modeling involves displaying care and concern for others, treating others respectfully and fairly, working diligently alongside others, communicating clearly with others, and supporting and defending others (Weaver, et al., 2005).
In this discussion, you will do the following:
- Identify and describe your strongest ethical role model in your previous or current organization that you interact with frequently. Choose an individual whose integrity you respect and whose moral judgment you value.
- Describe their exemplary behavior and other ethical traits, attitudes and characteristics that influence and inspire you.
- Apply EACH of the key Ethical Role Modeling Competencies (reference Figure 12.1 in course content) outlined in Lesson 12.
Illustrate the ethical principles, norms, and high standards of business practice clearly expressed by your ethical role model.
After you post an example of your ethical role model in 350 – 500 words, comment on at least two of the examples, using 125 – 200 words, displayed by other students in your group.
