In a brief, double-spaced essay (minimum 250 words):
Identify three findings from “hookup” research that you reacted to (whether finding it “questionable,” “surprising,” “accurate,” or something else!)
Describe a few of the benefits and consequences of engaging in hookups while in college. How does the presence of hookup culture block and/or pave the pathway to long-lasting, meaningful, and loving relationships?
Explain your opinion on whether technology has had an impact on sexual behavior on teens and young adults. (Hint: If you are not a teen or young adult, did you find the reported “norms” of hookup culture similar or dissimilar to those of your teen/young adult years?)
Summarize how the internet and social media may influence ideas shared about sex, sexual activity, and sexual identity. Is this largely “positive,” or “negative,” in your opinion?
