In the House of Representatives, there were 201 Republicans, of which 16 were female. There were 233 Democrats and no Independents, but 1 male Libertarian. There were a total of 107 females.
In the Senate, there were 53 Republicans and 45 Democrats. There were also 2 Independents. Of the 26 total female Senators, 9 are Republicans and none were Independent.
