DB 2-Functions in Mathematica33 unread replies.33 replies. We will continue with our study of Mathematica where we will study functions. There are three important ideas  to  focus on in the list below.Mathematica has a large collection of built-in with a specific protocol for their use. For example Sqrt[9]  would compute the square root of 9 or the square root of what ever is between the square brackets. Notice that the first letter is capitalized and is usually a complete word, but some of the more common one are abbreviated like Sqrt and Exp. Go through the list below and try them out to make sure that you understand how they work as we will have need for them later. If you may have forgotten what some of them are that is ok, the main thing for this step is that you simply try them out and have Mathematica produce an output.Review again video 2 on functions and understand that you can create your own functions. See video Make your own functions (Links to an external site.) View the video on 2-D Plotting in Mathematica 2-D PLOTTING (Links to an external site.)  and post two plots that you found interesting. One of a function that you created from doing step two, and  one from a built in Mathematica function either from the list below or from the many others that are available. Please explore them. After posting your two graphs, comment on two other students in the discussion board. The Wolfram Language includes a very large collection of mathematical functions. “Mathematical Functions” (Links to an external site.) gives the complete list.
