GRADING RUBRIC FOR THE BOOK REVIEW
The following rubric will be used in grading the Book Review: Content: 125 points
Introduction- Does the introduction provide a summary of the topic being discussed?
25 points
Body of Paper- Does the body of the paper cover the major points of the topic being discussed? 50 points
Analysis- Does the student interact critically with the paper? Does the student communicate where he/she agrees with the author and why? Disagrees with the author and why? 50 points
Grammar: 125 points
Spelling- Does the paper contain less than 2 misspelled words per pages? 25 points
Vocabulary- Does the student use college level vocabulary? 50 points
Punctuation- Does the paper contain less than 2 punctuation errors per page? 25 points
Sentence Structure- Does the paper use a variety of sentences? 25 points
Form: 50 points
Does the paper follow proper APA style formatting? 25 points
Are the references formatted correctly? 25 points
