As noted in the course, you do not have to read and review all 3 treatment modalities in the first four Module: Weeks (Prolonged Exposure Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for Reflection Journal Assignment: Modality Choice, but rather you choose the model you want to really focus on learning.
After you read your texts and review your online materials for Module 1: Week 1, you will consider what you already know about trauma-informed approaches to therapy and how your current knowledge and what you are reading fit with your worldview.
(a) What specific tenants of trauma-informed treatments are related to your conceptualization of trauma and trauma treatment and your worldview as you approach the course learning. Use references to support how you came to these conclusions.
(b) What Christian worldview integration research, Christian accommodative therapies, or scholarly perspectives from biblical or Christian counseling experts do you already consider in work regarding trauma and treatment for trauma? Continue to use references to support your approach.
· This submission should be 1 to 2 pages in length, not including title page or references section.
· Assignment should be submitted in current APA format including Running Head, Title Page, Introduction, Conclusion, APA style paragraphs and writing, references, and transitions throughout.
· There is no specific number of citations required, but APA format should be carefully adhered to with a focus on using a reference to scholarly sources throughout.
· Acceptable sources for this assignment include course learning, articles or publications from traumatology experts, Christian counseling authors, biblical scholars, and other scholarly publications. Sources from outside the course should be no more than 5 years since publication.
