As you watch the movie, keep track of the primary actors, what issues are they experiencing related to being an older adult? What strikes you as challenging for them? What are you seeing in the movie related to older adults that you had previously not considered or give much thought about?
The ‘notes’ are for you, but I will review them so please keep them semi-legible and coherent. Feel feel free to use bullets and short sentences to express your thoughts. You do not need to write paragraphs. This is just to help you think about themes in the movie. You will hopefully have some type of ‘ah-ha’ moment for some of the main ‘older adult’ characters – and you may or may not have an ‘ah-ha’ moment for the two younger characters.
This is not meant to be an exhaustive exercise, but an exercise to keep you focused on the movie from the perspective of the class – what is it like to age and be an older adult. It will also help you think critically about older adults, a population you may not have given much thought to prior to this class.
