Task
Produce an individual arguementative essay of between 1,000 and 1,200 words based on a current and controversial issue in your subject-specific area.
This assessment will comprise 40% of your final mark
You will submit your essay in week 8 of the last term of this module
It must:
Be understandable for a general audience (i.e. someone who is not familiar with the subject area)
Have a suitable title, have a clear thesis statement and take a clear stance
Be within the word limit: 1,000-1,200 words (excluding references and cover page)
Contain secondary sources (Excluding websites) to support your arguments/points – referring to these with in-text citations using Harvard style
Your essay must have atleast 5 references.
Your essay must have a complete reference list for all of your sources – in Harvard style
Be in your own words, with all influences paraphrased and attributed.
Be typed in “Arial” or “Times New Roman” font size 11 or 12.
Be in Microsoft Word or Pdf file.
Have a cover page clearly stating your:
