In addition to the thesis statement, students are also required to include a small preliminary bibliography of appropriate sources that will be used to support the argument being made. This preliminary bibliography should include 3 primary sources (archival sources like newspaper articles, government publications, speeches, videos/photographs, oral histories, etc.) and 3 secondary sources (scholarly texts, peer-reviewed journal articles, etc.).
