The paper should define sustainability and describe energy’s role in sustainability.
The scope of the paper should be limited to one country or region of the world.
Describe that region’s energy production (sources, amounts) and use (used for what, amounts) and place it in the context of the rest of the world.
Discuss why (from historical, political, social, economic, and/or geographic perspectives) the region has developed to its current energy production and use state.
Suggest technologies and strategies that would be particularly successful in that region to improve energy sustainability. Be sure to discuss the characteristics of the region that influence the strategy you select (why you think those technologies would work well for the region).
Describe the quantitative impact your suggestions would have if implemented.

At a minimum, the section should include tables and/or figures communicating the area’s annual energy use, the distribution of how the energy is used, the distribution of sources of energy for (1) the current situation and (2) full implementation of the suggested technologies/strategies

Use a concise, information rich writing style. Refer to your sources in the following style, (Last name et al., year) after a sentence that contains information from that source. The sources should be listed in alphabetical order (last name) at the end of the paper. Use the APA format for references.
