Using the At-Risk Continuum: List and discuss the specific At-Risk Behaviors in which the youth is engaged (behaviors completed).
Discuss the specific risks, antecedents, and influences for the At-Risk Behavior identified.
Are there other at-risk categories for which the youth is at-risk (these may be issues that fall earlier on the continuum). Identify these and describe where she might fall on the continuum.
Discuss the specific risks, antecedents, and influences for the At-Risk Behavior(s) identified.
Discuss the overlap and interrelationship between at least two at-risk behaviors (example: substance use and risky sexual behavior).
Integrate and apply the At-Risk Tree and Ecological Model to what you know about the youth. For areas in which you need more information what information would you seek?
Make sure you identify information in the following areas:
environmental and potential societal factors impacting the youth and any other risk in the areas you identified earlier?
family factors and problems that impact the youth’s risk?
school appearing to impact the youth’s risk level? Is there more you would want to know?
youth’s individual characteristics and resilience and how these impact their risk.
Choose and discuss one possible intervention for at least two of your identified risk behaviors or factors. Make your identification and discussion as specific as possible. Identify and discuss a specific intervention, do not simply indicate an increase of support or family involvement.
