What did you find strange about the Body Ritual of the Nacirema article? What did you identify with as familiar? Did you initially realize that this article was talking about Americans from an outside point of view? What connections can you draw between Boas’ assertion of cultural relativism and your own initial interpretation of the Nacirema?
