For my examples I tried to choose some that were relatable to our every day lives (and I love to bake and these examples relate to that)!
For my exothermic reaction I thought burning sugar is a good example! I chose this because it is something that most of us have probably done so we have this real-life experience! When it comes to the application of burning sugar, I don’t think anyone would purposefully do so, considering this is usually accidentally done in baking. This happens when sugar is brought to a temperature that is too high. Usually this happens in an attempt to melt it. This is an exothermic process because heat is released.
For my endothermic example, I chose baking bread because I actually did this the other day and I’m sure many of us have baked bread before and are familiar with what some common ingredients are and what happens as it bakes! This is an endothermic process because ingredients in the bread absorb heat and a chemical reaction happens!
