Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Public Education PresentationWhen establishing an EMS program, there are several times where presentations may be needed to solicit buy-in from other organizations or community members. This assignment requires you to create a PowerPoint presentation requesting approval from your local EMS board or public safety official to offer public education for the top three areas of injury prevention needed in your community. Research home and recreational safety topics on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. Your presentation should focus on the three main types of injury you feel are present in your community. Use this data and research to prove why these are issues in the community that need to be addressed. In essence, this information will be used to prove your point and get buy-in from organizations or community members.Your presentation should be in the following format, however you may adjust any section to include more slides as needed: Slide 1: Title slide–include your name, course number, and date
Slide 2: Brief introduction or purpose of your presentation
Slides 3 to 4: First injury prevention need
Slides 5 to 6: Second injury prevention need
Slides 7 to 8: Third injury prevention need

Include a minimum of eight slides, not counting the title and reference slides. Appropriate references should be used to support facts or statistics. You may include charts or graphs to support information. Your PowerPoint should include speaker’s notes to expand on information for each slide. If you wish, you may video yourself making the presentation in addition to submitting the presentation by uploading to YouTube and including the link. A minimum of two outside sources must be used in the assignment. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary. Your presentation should have no more than two direct quotes or paraphrased statements.
