Relationship Analysis PaperThis paper is an opportunity to analyze a relationship you currently have with a significant person in your life OR with yourself.
Content Requirements:
The relationship focus of this paper should be clear. If you are focusing on a relationship with a particular other, please explain the nature and background of the relationship. If this paper is a self analysis, please give some description regarding the kind of person you know yourself to be.
Use concepts and/or theories from Interpersonal Communication: Everyday Encounters to analyze the relationship identified in this paper. I encourage you to focus in a single chapter for this analysis. For example, if you are analyzing your relationship with your romantic partner, incorporate concepts from the listening chapter, or language chapter, or conflict chapter, or committed romantic relationships chapter, etc. (This may require you to read ahead in your text). If your paper is a selfanalysis, be sure to incorporate concepts from Chapter 2, “Communication and Personal Identity.”
General Requirements:
This paper should be 3-4 pages in length, double spaced, written in 12 pt. font, and be error free. It should also exemplify college transfer-level writing and analysis.
Please cite any sources used in addition to your class text (this is optional–additional research is allowed but not required). In other words, if you do not use sources outside of our class text, you do not need to attach a works cited page to your paper.
