As we move forward into a “Digital Society” the individuals within our society are being divided into those that have access to technology and can use it, and those that do not have access.  If you live within city limits having access isn’t usually an obstacle with restaurants and social environments offering Wifi staying connected isn’t such a task.  However, what happens to those who live outside city limits?  There are locations that cable companies just cannot reach, therefore providing Internet access in not available.
For this discussion discuss your thoughts on how individuals might feel discriminated against or ‘socially excluded’ or missing out on many life opportunities.  Do you feel that everyone everywhere should have access to the Internet, regardless of location, need, competency, or ability to pay?  If yes, who do you think should provide the services, education, and pay for it all??  If no, then explain why you think that not everyone needs to have access to the Internet.
