In 250-300 words, write a “statement of interdisciplinary understanding.” Discuss you as an individual, your understanding of interdisciplinary thinking and research, how you’ve gotten there since the beginning of the semester, and how you will apply what you have learned to new situations.
Ideas:
Make connections to related other sources, such as news, outside texts, or other classes.
Identify an assumption you had about interdisciplinary studies prior to this class and what you think now.
Make a connection to your related experience.
Define your new understanding of “interdisciplinarity.”
Suggest a plausible scenario that you could anticipate in your future for applying what you have learned this semester

Interdisciplinary education aims to encourage students to think critically and integrate skills such as effective communication, public speaking, self-confidence, goal setting, and the desire to speak more effectively with people outside of their fields while learning from a range of experiences and concepts. Also, skills that will help prepares you for your future career and adulthood. Allows you to show off new ideas and work while also demonstrating the knowledge and skills you earned over your academic years. Interdisciplinary Studies has always been a mystery to me, to be honest. I had no clue how effective Interdisciplinary Studies could be before this class. I can say that anyone who has completed Interdisciplinary Studies is more able to engage with individuals from other fields since we collaborate and learn from many different ideas and perspectives. Anyone who has completed this course now has a “greater general understanding of global interdependencies. “I believe that pursuing something that excites me and matches up with my passions motivates me more than following someone else’s path. I say it matches my career choice since BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). Holders of this credential are generally qualified for roles in management and leadership. Advanced specialties, such as public health nursing and case management, are frequently preferred. My friends are often amazed when I inform them that I am majoring in interdisciplinary after completing the Cornerstone Experience, I would be able to teach them correctly. I have often encouraged my classmates and acquaintances to enroll in Interdisciplinary Studies because I believe it is a fantastic program that allows individuals to pursue their passions while learning more about themselves and the world.
