Remember, a clear, specific thesis statement (your main argument) provides both you and the reader with a context for the arguments presented in the body of the paper.Essay requirements: The essay must be 2-3 pages double-spaced, 12 point font (longer or shorter essays are unacceptable!). Evidence should come from assigned or related primary source documents AND academic sources such as the textbook AND other academic
publications (books or journal articles). My lectures, general websites, encyclopedias, and dictionaries will not be recognized as academic sources, so be selective in what you use!
