Please read chapter 11 that I have attached below before doing this assignment. The 535 members of Congress serve some very important functions. While lawmaking is the most obvious function, representation might be the most important function. For this discussion I’d like you to think about how you are being represented in Congress and what you would like to see from your representatives.
Do you believe you are being accurately represented in the House and the Senate? Why or why not? (Think about the actual members who have been elected to represent you.) Which type of representation do you prefer- trustee or instructed-delegate? Please make sure to explain your position!
