Students will choose a figure of interest to research and will investigate how the socio-political climate of the times was reflected in his/her works. For example, the student may research life and works of the artist, Pablo Picasso. In his/her paper the student will develop an understanding of his artistic heritage (including his biography) as well as how the sociopolitical climate influenced his work(s). His major work(s) would be analyzed and evaluated.
