1- In thinking about Erikson’s Psychosocial Theory, there are two interesting things to consider. One is the connection to Piaget, in that they both say that children develop (though in different areas) through dealing with challenges. Also consider the ways in which Erikson’s theory, particularly the first two stages, have similarities with Attachment. You can also talk about anything that’s interesting to you regarding Erikson’s theory.
2- There is so much rich material in this chapter. You will be able to post on this subject today and on Thursday, since we will finish the lesson on Thursday.Think about: Emotions in general, Emotional Regulation and Emotional Intelligence. Think about Play, Gender, Family, and Peers. Consider whatever you want to talk about from the perspective of children in the classroom, how all of this might impact who and how they are.
