You will need to do research for this assignment; TWO sources must be cited using MLA format. Your Works Cited should contain TWO entries (two sources), and each source must be properly cited within the essay. The Purdue OWL contains an MLA format presentation as well as sample MLA papers.
You can use the library databases for sources; the library databases are accessible off campus by entering your library card number. Some suggested sources are also the CDC’s website and the NJ Department of Health’s website. The College’s website includes information about student demographics and the College’s mission. You should NOT be Googling for sources!
Note – a refutation/rebuttal is required in this paper. This is as simple as addressing your opponent’s position – ONE POINT – and lessening the value of that position – you are undermining one of the points that is contrary to your own argument. You might begin your refutation paragraph with a simple, “Others may argue that…” OR “Those opposed to this decision claim…”
The choose a point and devalue that point.
