EarthWeek Diary – Extra Credit!

Whaaaaat?!  Yep – One more final chance to boost your grade with a little optional Extra Credit!   To get this EXTRA Credit (up to 10 points), you must post about aDIFFERENT topic in this current EarthWeek Diary than you did for the other EarthWeek-8 discussion.
Also, remember that the 1st 8-Week Summer Session officially ENDS Wednesday, July 28th!   Thus, YOU MUST post by Wednesday, as this Discussion (and all other parts of this Canvas course) will be closed.  Don’t forget the same 7/28deadline applies to everything else as well – assignments, exams, etc.
Ok – Here you go… one last contribution to the EarthWeek Diary – if you’d like…   ( free points )

It was great having you in my class!!!
As always, the detailed Discussion Instructions documentis the place to go if you the full, detailed version.  Otherwise:

Just Briefly:
Thoroughly read through the entire 1-page Earthweek Diary below.  Then Select ONE featured topic in the Diary that you found especially interesting or significant in some way.
Do a quick search to find out anything more that you can add about the topic that interested you.  Choose and capture a map, photo, or other item to share in your reply.
POST to the discussion board a reply with a brief description of what you found out and insert the graphic -photo, map, etc. in your posting so the entire class can check it out.
Keep it brief – a paragraph or so is all that is required.  Pick a single concept or point or two to remark upon – but be sure to SHOW and TELL us something new!

It’s perfectly OK to remark on a topic that someone has already contributed on.  Simply add to the discussion with a different map, photo, etc., and offer your own commentary.
Please also reply to your classmates posts now and then – everyone appreciates that (including me!)

OK – For Extra Credit!  Here’s the CURRENT Earthweek Diary for the week ending Friday, July 23, 2021.    Look it over, find something DIFFERENT out that you can add to any one item (don’t forget to grab a map, photo, diagram, etc!) – and then Post to Share with the class!
