importance of statistics to the area of criminal justice you researched.

Discussion 2: Bias
is an important issue in the research process as it can lead to invalid and
even illegal research processes. One research study that has received a lot of
discussion is the Tuskegee Syphilis Study that was started in 1932. You can
find more information about this study on the U.S.
Public Health Service Syphilis Study at Tuskegee page
on the CDC website. Describe
and summarize
the Tuskegee Syphilis Study. Explain whether the study is unbiased and ethical
or not and justify your position.

Discussion 3: Define what
a hypothesis is and how it is used in the research process. How are hypotheses
tested? What does it mean if a hypothesis is accepted or rejected? Research and
share an example to show the process.

Discussion 4: Define and
explain correlation. How is it calculated and what does it tell us about data
gathered during a research process? How do we use correlation to help answer
research questions? How does correlation differ from causation? Provide an
example to explain the role of each in criminal justice.
