Identify a recent merger or acquisition of companies and answer the following questions:
what was the reason for the strategy (financial issues, better placement in the marketplace, economies of scale, diversification, etc.)?
What does the “new” organization look like:
Did the culture of the combined organization change?
How did the senior management of the “new” company compare to the “previous” organizations?
Did it affect the employees (were there layoffs, resignations, etc.)?
In your opinion, was it a successful move for the organizations? Would you have had a different strategy?
