As part of your course assignment, you will compose an obituary of a note worthy American of your choosing.
This individual is still living (!) and may be a statesman, diplomat, politician, entrepreneur, inventor, or other American who has made a substantial impact on American history. Again your chosen subject must be American born.
Include the following data within your obituary:
Date of birth, Date of death
Cause of death
Birthplace, family background, parents, siblings, spouse, children
Education- where and when degrees obtained
Career, accomplishments, awards (This section should be the most detailed and lengthy part of your obituary)
Legacy (their influence or imprint on society)
Survivors (names of wife, husband, children)
Memorial/Church/Burial services (befitting the deceased). For example, a dignitary such as a President, Senator, would have a state funeral.
Including a photograph of your subject is always a good idea
