When responding to a classmate to a classmate, your response needs to be pertinent and of substance. Stating that you agree or disagree is not sufficient. You must substantiate your responses. ClassMate response Sociology is the study of societies which helps us further our own communities. If you have ever traveled outside of your city, state, or country you’ll notice how other’s thinking and way of life are different compared to yours or your friend’s. A sociologists’ Goal is to study the relationship between different environments and their connections to their people. We all have our own ways of percieving life, how we think, how and why we act a certain way, why we make thew choices we make, and sociology is here to find those answers. Through time, we’ve had many different sociologts come with their ideas and thoughts about what sociology should and shouldn’t be. We have taken those ideas and expanded onto them what we think sociology should be today, with our always changing society.
Something as big as the internet and social media has shaped and changed how many people think, as well as give us a platform to express different ways of thinking. For me, social media has shown me how different and alike the world can be. Staying in your little bubble, whether that be your town, your school, or your room, we forget that there are other ways of living because we get so used to how we have been brought up. Social media really opens your eyes to how someone from a different country or even a different state a few hours away can have a completely different point of view. Personally, the internet has made me a more open minded person than I was before to other ways of thinking.
