For your Week 5 assignment, you will be
taking the content of the paper that you prepared in Week 3 (Assignment
3.3) and turning it into a script and slides for a presentation. The
presentation will ultimately take the form of a 5-6 minute informative
speech presented in Prezi,
PowerPoint, or a similar slide-based presentation media of your choice.
Your presentation should include 6-10 slides that serve to highlight
the content of your topic.
Your Presentation Timeline:
This week, you will develop your preliminary script and initial slides for the presentation and submit them for a grade.
Next week, after making any instructor suggested revisions to your
script or slides, you will complete a voice-over narration for your
presentation and submit a link of your presentation to next week’s
discussion board for peer feedback.
At the end of next week, you will submit a final version of this presentation for instructor assessment.

As you are preparing your script and slides, remember:
Do NOT simply “read” your paper for this presentation. Rather,
narrow the topic to something that you can make interesting for a
general audience and which you can present in the allotted time frame.
Do NOT include everything that you plan to say in your
presentation slides/images. Your slides or images should serve to
highlight, frame points for your listeners, and add information to the
presentation.
DO include the most interesting and important sources that you had in your paper.
DO use an oral citation format to document the sources for your presentation.
DO include an introduction, body, and conclusion in your script as
described in the Public Speaking lesson. You should follow the
recommendations for a good PowerPoint or Prezi from the lessons.
