I need an outline on something to do with the AG Ind. “Monsters” in the world. Unit 1: Topic Inquiry and Proposal
Overview:
The proposal should identify the specific, final research question that you determine based on your initial exploration/research. Your proposal should discuss your ideas and thinking but should be a more finely tuned presentation of the question your research will explore. You will need to include:
Your research question with some context (the topic about monsters you want to write about and as much as you know about it now). What about this interests you? How is it relevant to our culture/world? To who/whom?
A timeline; look at the course calendar and your personal schedule (your life in general). Make a timeline for yourself that is detailed. When will you sit down and work on your coursework? I want specific times like. For example, I have specific office hours where I am dedicated to being available for your questions. That would be part of my timeline for this class. When will you work on your ENGL 1020 work?
A description of your audience and the name of publication or platform (with a URL, if relevant) for which your essay might be appropriate. Discuss the discourse community for your project. Be specific with your discourse community. Think as descriptively as possible. Teenagers, for example, are not at all specific because teenagers are very diverse.
A bibliography of the work you have so far completed. You should have at least one link even if it’s from YouTube or Wikipedia.
Do NOT quote, paraphrase, summarize, or otherwise copy information from the sources you look at; they are to inspire you only. I want to know what interests you not what other people think.
This assignment sets the foundation for accomplishing all of the work and meeting our goals/outcomes for the semester.
