Part B
The second part of the lab report comprises the results, discussion, and abstract sections.
The results section requires you to report on the statistical findings of a real psychological
study. We will provide the statistical findings and a template for the results, but it will be up
to you to fill in the template correctly, and ensure it meets APA requirements. The discussion
section should restate your aims and hypotheses, explain the results, compare the results to
the literature you covered in the introduction, outline any limitations of the study, and suggest
directions for future research. Again, we’ll be taking you through each aspect in detail in the
seminars and associated videos.
Here’s a helpful breakdown of the sections for Part B:
Part B of your Laboratory report includes the following sections, in this order: Title Page,
Abstract, Part A Resubmission (revised intro and method), Results, Discussion, Reference
List.
