Click on the Forum link to the left to enter the discussion board forum.
Once you enter the discussion board forum, select CREATE THREAD to make your initial post.
Remember, to receive full credit, you must also respond to one (1) classmate’s post by the due date.
Each post, the initial post and the response post, must be a minimum of 12 sentences. But this by no means assures full credit, which is measured by substance and effort.
Use Microsoft Word to compose your answer. Save your work to your computer, and then copy and paste it to the discussion board. If the discussion board “eats” or “loses” your answer, you can simply copy and paste it to the discussion board again. Do not submit your post as an attached document or you will not receive credit.
Any and all posts must be a minimum of 12 sentences. Consider each post as a “micro” essay of several thoughtful paragraphs including 5 or 6 sentences each.  This is the bare minimum for credit; however, and it does not guarantee full credit or even a passing grade. You may earn only minimal credit even if you meet this minimum requirement because quality is more important than quantity.  Any post consisting of a mere 11, or fewer, sentences in a single post will receive no credit at all. This includes any reply posts. To help you know what is expected, review the examples in the folder below of student posts from past classes that received full credit.  The grading rubric that will be used to score your posts is located under the “Forum Instructions” tab in the “Course Assessments” section.

Remember: Because “thought sessions” require an initial post and a response post by the due date, late discussion board postings cannot be accepted and will not be graded.  Period. Reply posts are weighted equally to initial post
