Choose a story from the textbook and a question from the directions for out-of-class Paper #1. Argue your thesis employing quotes from the story on which you choose to write. Forbidden stories on which to write include: “The House on Mango Street” and “The Hunger Artist”.
Papers written in this course will require quotations from the source material—the stories, poems, and plays—you choose to write on. On the first out-of-class papers you will prove your thesis and your points with quotation. Quotation will be the evidence you supply to support your arguments.
