Students will complete a written assignment that addresses mental health issues/problems/trends that confront
Clinical Mental Health Counselors. You will pick a topic of
interest to you, and explore what contributes to the problem, common treatments/interventions used, and types
of training available to prepare oneself to better deal with such a presenting problem. Assessments used to
clarify intensity or severity would also be good to include in your paper if available. Referenced articles are to
be taken from a recent (2009 or later) scholarly journal. The paper should be 5-7 pages in length, using Times
New Roman, size 12 font. Use of APA format is expected for your title page, body of paper, and your reference
page. Publication of the article and/or making a presentation on the topic in a professional venue is the goal. I
am willing to help each of you accomplish this goal. Plagiarism will result in an automatic failing grade. My Topic is Adolescent Issues.
