Two short Bayes’ Theorem Problems

A developer writes a program to detect the emails which can be spam. Developer claims that the program can predict the emails that are spam with 99% of accuracy. But the program tends indicate 5 out of every 100 emails to be spam but they are actually not. If we assume that half of the emails are spam, then what is the probability that an email predicted as spam is actually not a spam?
rthopedic surgeons were asked what the odds of a completely torn ACL would be in a person who was initially thought to have a 1% risk of completely torn ACL but who ended up with a positive MRI result (an MRI result in this case accurately classifies about 80% of completely torn ACLs and 90% of fine ACLs.) Estimate the chance of completely torn ACL. – 5 points
