Give a specific example of an adolescent’s identity development experience and how culture shapes the adolescent’s decisions, actions, and understanding of this area of his/her/their life. Be detailed in your explanation.Simplified example: A teen eats meat because it is culturally acceptable in their community and religious culture. They identify as an onmivore and have developed feelings of animosity toward vegetarians as a group despite being friends with some. This is an example of privilege in that this is a majority status whereas vegetarianism is not.
