From course syllabus:”In class we talked a lot about the failings of the Canadian criminal justice system. Please fully explore 3 major failings or issues with the justice system using your 5 academic sources. That is, we talked about how the justice system is based on the theory of Deterrence which is based in models of punishment and how this philosophical model is failing us. We also discussed various other failings or issues with the criminal justice system that you could write about such as overrepresentation, issues with crime stats and understanding how much crime exists and so on.”
