This week, you’ve seen many examples of related rates problems.
For this discussion, create and solve an original related rates problem. Find a context we haven’t already explored (in lectures, HW and problem set). Create a problem similar to something you would see on a problem set. State the problem and solve it. My goal is to create a rich set of examples of related rates for our class.
Feel free to draw inspiration from other websites and books, BUT be sure to create an *original* problem and solution. Do not copy/paste! Any instance of plagiarism will receive a grade of 0.
You can type up the question, but I recommend handwriting the solution (show all work) and posting an image of it for better readability. Do not post a typed up solution that’s difficult to read! Your classmates must be able to read and make sense of your work. If you type your solution but it’s not in a readable format, you will not receive full credit.
Finally, before posting, see what others have posted. Try to choose an application that’s different from what others have already posted. And remember, your problem must be original.
IMPORTANT: If you got your idea from another source, cite the source.
