Etiology
-Heavy smoking habit
-Overweight
Risk factors
they are defined as factors or conditions that increases the chances of causing the disease and may or maynot cause the disease.
-Use of alcohol
-Smoking in heavy amount
-Use of heroin
-Age of 56 years
pathogenesis
-Smoking induced malignant tumor
-Malignant tumour metastasize to other parts of body and have high degree if anaplasia. Anaplasia is the condition of cell in which they don’t have resemblance to there original cell type.
-There is increase in vascularity to the newly formed cells.
Clinical manifestations
-He complains of chronic cough and there is hoarseness of voice.
-On auscultation wheez is heard.
-A radiograoh PA view of chest is taken which shows lesion in upper right lobe.
Treatment/ management
-He is advised to stop smoking as it is a risk factor for his condition.
-Lifestyle changes are advised to reduce weight.
-Chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiation to reduce the chances of complications during the surgery.
-And final curative treatment is surgery to remove the lesion.
-The surgery would be wedge resection or lobectomy on right lung depending on the size of lesion after initial therapies.
