1. The request is for a Summary Table of statistics of the data (see below), NOT regressions or estimation output yet.
2. Send a table (preferably an excel file) with summary statistics for EACH variable Y and X that you will use: name of variable, mean, median, std dev, minimum, maximum, number of observations.
If time series data, give also the initial and final date. Note that your data download may be longer than the sample you’ll actually use: some websites only let you download a file that already has data say for 30 years.
o I do not want the summary stats for the 30 years of your download, but for the period you actually plan to study (say 2010-2020).
If cross-section data, give a list of the units (companies/countries, etc.) or in case you’re study subject is a known index, you can just mention it. E.g., if you study how the S
