Regarding the first question, I resulted on the below:
Introduction
Personality tests are known to have a major role in the employment of most people in different organizations. It comes to mind that they are techniques meant to psychologically bring out a person’s problems that play a role in their places of work. It is important to note that, having personality tests in line with work, they are more of employment testing so that different individuals are assigned the right tasks that align with their personalities. It is therefore important to note that personalities of different individuals at the workplace play a role in making the involved organization successful.
The type of personality I have and what it entails
Having done the personality test, I would say that I have the entertainer personality. An entertainer personality is based on being a socially active person and that means that, I am extroverted. According to the personality test undertaken, I have the entertainer personality based on the questions asked and that measures a lot on what position I might take as an employee in an organization. In line with asking for a chance in the employment sector, I would consider being under the marketing department which is more of selling a company’s products (Manels-Murphy, 2021). Having the entertainer personality fully makes it known to me that I would sell most of the company’s products without much strain as being an introvert plays a role in effective communication with our customers.
The entertainer personality works best in the outdoor activities of a company as they can click with most people’s personalities without as much effort and strain. Having that in mind, being talkative is another characteristic I have as an individual and that means that persistence and continued urge to make people buy the company’s products I am selling is key (van Dun & Wilderom, 2021). Being highly talkative means that I would not have a limit of the people I would convince to purchase our products as I am socially active and that means that, I would be more of a risk taker and would make sure that all the products are sold in a day. It also comes to mind that, being a risk taker means that I will use all the strategies as a person to make sure that the involved company’s products are all sold (Sahin, 2021). It comes in with first of all relating with the customers of the involved company and communicating effectively what the company can offer to align with their needs.
I have a high self-esteem as an entertainer and that means that tackling people of different origins and races is not an issue to struggle with. Having high self-esteem means that my confidence is as well worked on (van Dun & Wilderom, 2021). It is important to note that having a high self -esteem means that wanting the best for myself is always in mind despite the different situations and circumstances I could be “thrown” generally in life. It makes it important for me to note that having a high self-esteem makes it easy for me to blend in with different personality temperaments in different spaces; be it at the workplace or even in normal relationships (Manels-Murphy, 2021). Having a high self -esteem plays a role in being expressive as an individual since I tend to be free with all types of audiences.
How my Personality trait aligns with Organizational Behavior
Being an entertainer helps a lot in organizations across the world. Just like any other personality temperament has a role, being an entertainer can play a role in the marketing department in a great way. Appealing to any manager in any organization comes in with letting them know that I am a socially active person and cannot do very well with office work. Letting them first know that I have an entertainer personality is the first step to appeal for the marketing position (Anand, 2021). The next step comes in with me letting the manager of the strengths that come in with being an entertainer and how they will benefit their organizations. I would also let them understand the weaknesses that come in with being a sanguine. However, I would base myself on the strengths that being an entertainer brings along in their companies.
Being a risk taker as an entertainer brings in the advantage of taking “any bullet” for the organization I am working for. Being a sanguine brings out the other side of the person to make everything work at the place of work since they love the other side of life which pleasure is seeking (Anand, 2021). It is obvious that, once I as an individual is not able to accomplish the different roles and tasks that come with being a marketer, it means that I will not experience pleasure at my place of work. Failure to take risk as an individual with an entertainer personality makes roles and tasks at the workplace boring and that may mean that, I might quit the job having in mind that, I desire a better and a pleasant job altogether. It therefore comes to mind that being an entertainer means that being a risk-taker is a key factor to manage most of the marketing tasks at the workplace.
The sanguine personality has a weakness as well and that also plays a role in the organizations that need an individual like me to work for them. The main weakness is that of having intense emotions as an individual (Dolan, 2021). It is obvious that feeling too much emotion at the workplace makes one unable to control what they are feeling for the appropriate time to address the negative emotions that could have come up at the workplace. Weaknesses at the workplace bring in the disadvantage of being irrational as an individual and that might cost the involved organization based on “feeling things” while working (Sahin, 2021). Most of the organizations might lose their potential customers if the marketing persons are feeling too emotional as they will not be able to deliver services in the most appropriate, benefitting ways to the involved organization (Dolan, 2021). Merging an entertainer personality with a sentinel personality at the place of work works best as they can come in for the weakness of the entertainer since they are more empathetic, peaceful and relaxed.
Conclusion
In conclusion, personality temperaments play a big role in most organizations’ success across the world. It comes to mind that being an entertainer plays a role in most of the outdoor activities of a company such as marketing, being salespersons and at times, being great leaders. It therefore is important to note that being an entertainer helps most of the organizations sell their products as entertainers are excellent communicators who express what the companies they work for can offer. It makes more sense to say that, since an entertainer’s personality is extroverted, talkative, has a high self-esteem, is expressive and is a risk- taker, means that most companies and organizations across the world are at a privilege to be more successful. It is therefore important for every organization that needs as much success to consider personality tests to the employees they want to work as they play a big role in the making of the company’s success contribution.
