My persuasive speech topic will be the importance of physical fitness. I chose this topic to persuade my audience to stay healthy and help to prevent chronic disease and long-term illness. I believe that living a healthy lifestyle can prevent chronic diseases and long-term illnesses. Moreover, feeling good about yourself and taking care of your healthy are important for your self-esteem and self-image.
Remember, your audience will not be able to read your outline, so you will need to avoid technical jargon, strings of statistics or dense text. Keep your sentences simple. Only one idea per sentence. Develop transitions that are smooth and allow for seamless flow between your main ideas. Use signals (first, second, third), alliteration, and repetition to ensure the audience understands and remembers.
