Project Description

Advanced Food Products is a U.S.-based start-up company which has developed a process to create mass quantities of beef in laboratories by culturing cells from tissue taken from live cattle. The company has successfully tested the product and received all necessary approvals to sell the product in the United States. The project in question is to develop a multi-media marketing plan for the rollout of the product in the United States. The company’s owners have given the assigned project team six months to develop and implement the plan. The project charter indicates that television advertisements, a website, social media sites and ads in selected newspapers and magazines are desired for the campaign. It also states that the company leaders are not certain who their customers are or how they would like spending to be allocated among the different channels. They also indicate they are unsure of the distribution channels they expect to use to sell the product but are considering different supermarkets and fast food chains.
