Writing in Teams / Crisis Communication (External Message)
After reading the article available here, please do the following by answering the following questions:
Briefly describe the scenario you/your team wrote about for your internal negative news memorandum.
For your external message about this negative news scenario, what platform does your team propose using (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
Why do you/your team think the platform you are using is the best choice for your message and audience?
Following any guidelines from your chosen platform (i.e. Twitter limits to 140 characters), please provide the text of your message below. Be mindful to follow some of the bullet points from the article:
Use short paragraphs and sentences.
Give most important information first.
Avoid jargon and write for least educated, not the most.
Choose active voice.
Make sure your message doesn’t forget the “what’s in it for me” factor for your audience.
