The written articles should not be more than 3 pages (typed) having your name, date submitted and topic name.
Abstract: A single paragraph summary of the entire report. MUST INCLUDE:
The study’s purpose and general approach
The general results/conclusion.
Introduction: 1-2 paragraphs introducing study. MUST INCLUDE:
Background information needed for a reader to understand the study and citations for this information.
Goal of the study: i.e. The purpose of this experiment was to determine ………
Hypothesis and/or prediction
Methods: Description with enough information to repeat the experiment.
Results: Description of the results with little to no reflection on what the results mean
Discussion: Conclusion, meaning of results, possible caveats, future experiments. MUST INCLUDE:
General conclusion; whether the hypothesis was supported or refuted
Mistakes/limitations/difficulties of the experiment
A proposed future experiment based off of your findings
A final concluding sentence that gives the major take home message.
