Overview
In this Work Product Assessment, you will investigate the practices used for retaining personnel and providing professional development in a healthcare organization of your choice. With a specific organization in mind, preferably one in which you work, have worked, or are very familiar with, you will evaluate retention strategies, identify meaningful metrics, assess organizational development needs, and explore professional development delivery options.
A professional development plan for each of the three positions you selected (Nurses, Physician, Lab Technician) that covers the next 12 months detailing training and development opportunities including any that might be required of a health organization by state or federal regulations. Also be sure to include delivery methods for each professional development opportunity (one of which should be technology-based). Finally, provide a rationale for training and professional development you selected and describe at least one strategy you would recommend encouraging employees to take advantage of the new training and professional development opportunities.
