In the response paper, I would like to present a critical analysis on your project topic based on the content we covered in Unit 3: Advertising & Philosophical Considerations. ( attached )
It should be clear when I read your paper what your assumptions are about the following as they relate to your topic.
The nature of the individual – you don’t have to explicitly state the four “isms” (although you could) but I should be to tell what your perspective is on egoism, intellectualism, atomism and quietism. These assumptions are applicable to both the consumer and the advertiser.
The nature of the marketplace/advertising
Who has the (economic) power
What role government should or shouldn’t play
Your analysis includes the implications of the above for your project topic.
Your analysis should include “evidence” and other information to support your thinking. Reference as applicable. You may reference findings from your interviews (attached)
Further, you are to integrate/cite the full journal articles of two of the authors (Cary, Potter, Sandage, Norris, Schudson, Pollay and Holbrook) to make your points about your topic. It should be clear that you are bringing in content that is ONLY available in the journal articles.
